Just finished fishing upper Pool 11 over weekend. Hooked and lost biggest northern I’ve ever seen on river…a comfortable estimate would be 45″! No leader, wasn’t fishing for them!Caught/released several smaller ones, northerns biting everywhere! Largemouth biting bigtime, several legal caught/released. Saw a guy Saturday AM walking along tracks north of Cassville/south of old spillway carrying 23″ walleye. Fishflies hatched Thursday, caught most of my fish under trees coated with flies. Tons of boats and bass tourney in area didn’t seem to bother anybody’s catches, bluegills and sheepshead also biting well for others. I caught most of my fish using black/green/orange colored beetle spins along shoreline riprap pretty much anywhere I fished. River stage almost down to 5 feet, great for LM/northerns, wish SM biting, didn’t see anyone else catching any either. Ah, the low water bite is on again in Pool 11, fun times to be had!
