Only got out from about 7:45 to 9:15 last night (skeeters chased me off), but the fishing was pretty decent. Caught 5 fish only, but three were keepers (14.5, 16, and 18 inchers). Also lost one in the 15-16 inch range when he fell off my Pop_R. Fish were in the deeper water off weededges, and generally not too aggressive. Kinda funny how I caught the 18 incher. Was using a tube off the deeper weededge, when the line got caught up underneath the spool on my spinning reel. Tube just sank to the bottom and sat there while I sat down, removed my spool, and unwound the line from under the spool. All at once I feel the line moving, set the hook, and the bass was on there!! And my reel was not assembled! So I hand lined her in. Those fish can pull hard against just your hands on the line!! However, giving line to the fish is a snap lol!!
Anyway, after that I slowed WAY down (almost deadsticking) and caught the rest of the fish using VERY slow tactics.
