    Last thurs.(june28) I was working a lindy rig w-crawler on the Croix and caught a smallie “18.5. Can someone estimate what it weighed? Great fight!

    according to the handy dandy bass lenght to weight estimator… that would come in at 3.9 #s…. nice fish!

    For most smallies(unless they are a true PIGGY) 18 inches “usually” is 3lbs, give or take a few ounces. 19 inches is darn near if not usually 4lbs and 20 inches 5lbs. Of course you need to take into consideration there is no exact or standard weight to length scenario, but those are generally VERY close!

    Definitely a nice smallmouth! 18 inchers on up are tru “bullworkers”!! I bet she bent your rod REAL hard! JIm W
