Staples area lakes

    I live in s.e.Minnesota and am driving to Staples Mn. to see my baby Grandaughter for the 1st time on Saturday morning.I’d like to stop and check out one of the lakes along or near hwy 10 on the way back.Any advice or suggestions?Thanks,Mike

    I would give Little Rock Lake a try. It is just north of St. Cloud, right off of HWY. 10. There is a pink gentlemans club on the lake so you can’t miss it. There is an access on the East and West side of the lake. There are very nice crappies and bluegills as well as walleyes, northerns, and perch. I usually fish it a few times a year, but I will be up there for the first time on Sunday. My friend spent the night on the lake last Thursday: 4 crappies, 1 walleye, 2 northerns, 20 perch.
