Finally on Friday May 25th I was able to fish with Joe Harvey, his daughter Tag and son in law Nate. We had cancelled 3 previous days due to weather so it was nice to have a decent day. The three of them fished hard and managed 26 smallies. Yes, at least half were caught by the lone female in the boat. Tag is an awesome fisherwoman. Water temp was back up in the low 60’s but the prespawn bite was pretty well nonexistant. We went with swim jigs (Brovarney and All Terrain) and hunt and pecked the fish all day. Joe also caught a few fish on a Bass Pro stick worm. Here is a couple pics/posts at some beautiful Cheq Bay smallies. Thank you to Joe, Nate and Tag for a fun day.
