    got out on the bay on saturday 8 inches of good ice throughout the bay,but little snow cover with cold temps had the ice pounding cracking and rumbling all day,ive never been on ice like that before i think it actually effected the fishing didnt mark much on the flasher,caught a few small perch and 1 pike/if the ice settles down maybe next time more will bite,good luck ……

    Yeah – that lack of snow can create some big cracks!! Gotta watch that, all the time..

    Nice catch! The crashing can send a few un easy feelings to some people, have to watch the pressure cracks at that time because some where they are stacking up. I was out the same day off of Washburn and there was some good jar’s and it piled up the ice on shore 3 ft. Good luck next time.
