What do you guys think about puting together a bowfishing shoot/GTG out of Everts this spring? The bowfishing between Everts and the lake can be outstanding. If enough people show interest I will start to organize one.

P.S. I should ask Dean first if he will have us. We might scare off some of his “man pretty” customers. devil

If enough baked good are involved, Dean will go along with anything.

I think that would be a double Hoot! What time frame are you thinking of Josh?

Yes the carp spawn in the backwaters from the back channel on down. I shoot lots of carp, quite a few gar (up to 54″) and a few HUGE buffalo.

Opening is the 24th of april. I like to shoot earlier in the season, on the miss the water gets pretty dirty later in the season and bowfishing can be pretty frustrating.

Hmmm the Sturgeon Excursion is April 22nd to the 26th. I’m out those days…but after that until the middle of May….WhoooHOOOO!

Now, how good are you with a bow? Good enough to keep the early season snakes at bay?

This would be a boating event. If you don’t have a boat i’m sure you could hop in with someone who does.

I’m in if I can find a boat to hop in. I’d be willing to pay for the gas and such. If you need help with the baking my fiance has some wicked good unhealthy things for Dean and BK to eat. Her three layer brownies might put a few pounds on you two though.

ER.. If someone in the metro has a car or truck that can pull a boat. I know the neighbor said I could steal his if I like!

I spoke with Dean and he gave us the O.K. How does Saturday May 1st work for everyone? I don’t want to exclude the IDOers that will be up at the S.E. I am looking for ideas to make this a fun event, so feel free to post up or send me a PM. Dean suggested a bikini contest!? I for one don’t want to see BK in his pink speedo!

Well I might not need a boat ride after all. The parents neighbor that I go catfishing with said I can take his 16 ft. flat bottom G-3 with 25 horse merc and nice big flat front deck Bow fishing and the old man said I can borrow the truck if they don’t need it. So I think I’m golden now. Barring something doesn’t come up at work this spring.
