Had phil in the boat Saturday. What Phil lacks in hook up percentage he makes up for in good company.

December 5, 2016 at 9:13 am #1654684And yesterday was a fantastic day.
58″ 44#And a 66″ that made me realize I need a bigger net. I didn’t weigh because I had a second rod doubled over. Estimated 70# and bigger than my last 66″.
The bent rod you can see in the photo ended up being a 25#… Thank goodness because I was beat after landing and photographing the 70#.Have a sturgeon noob joining me Tuesday for a cold night.. Hopefully the bite keeps up. Conditions are perfect!!!!

December 9, 2016 at 9:35 am #1655777I met Jeremiah on the river a few weeks ago, he wanted to catch a sturgeon so I tossed him my number and he picked the coldest week to fill the order.
We went out Tuesday and battled 30 mph wind in our face for 4 hours of fishing.
The fish didn’t disappoint and made the freezing voyage well worth our time.
Here’s Jeremiahs biggest and second biggest.
55″ 34#
47″ 21#.Awesome having you join me Jeremiah. Don’t hesitate to call again… And go ahead and bring your fishing partner from the night we meet.
I hope to boat several big ones this weekend… Won’t be long and the ice will prevent the journey until spring.
