I have a 20 volt Dewalt 1/2″ chuck hammer drill and I’m looking for suggestions for a ice auger to use that’s decent. Beings Im new to ice fishing its one step at a time. You guys have any suggestions for an ice auger with decent steel in the cutting blades, they make them don’t they?
You can use any hand auger bit….Mora,Lazer,Nils……You can find used ones pretty cheap up here…..5″ or 6″….8″ is hard on the drill.Get an adapter and off you go,,, …They say bits off gas augers are heavier…..
If you to get fancy the K Drills are nice but pricey…..
I have a 18v Milwaukee Fuel Drill and I use my 6″ lazar hand auger bit with the adapter I built many years ago. No reason to have those fancy auger bits
