I can give out 1 real good spot to the forum for where to catch Muskies on the St. Louis. Please release any you catch…or may a rock tear a hole in the bottom of your boat.
Right where Hiway 23 bridge crosses the river, there used to be a bar called Degiddios a.k.a Boondocks, the Stockade…whatever. Anyway, there is an island right out in the river there. Get on the south side of this island and work right where the currents begin to join as they wrap around the island, also work the channel between the bank off this bar and the island. I cannot tell you what lures to use as they can vary depending on the conditions usually topwaters like Globes and such.. I actually boated one caught on a piece of beef liver and a nightcrawler while fishing for channel cats one evening. What a riot that was…my buddy caught it.
Anyway, I have my best luck in there when it is very late ….around 9 p.m. to midnight.
See you guys on the Chippewa Flowage. Good luck.
