Please re-read Cade’s original post, which basically said, Wow the Giants are on to Lambeau Field.

Regarding what came next it is clear to me that the guy was happy about the results of the NY/Dallas game and the fact the NFL Championship will be in Green Day.

The Romo stuff, clearly secondary, but it seems everyone has gotten fired up about that. Why???

Thank You, but I forgot to mention one thing. The dog’s IQ is 167 and much higher then mine.

Great news for the Pack. A Championship game in Green Bay.

I see Big G and Kooty have moved on to your post.

As for Tony Romo he is no Tom Brady or Brett Favre for that matter. So many times he got out of the box and had a chance to make plays, seldom did he.

Don’t bet on Dallas, they are beginning to self-destruct like the Lions.

With the Redskin win, would it have made a difference.

I agree; never thought he was a good writer. The guy I really miss is Jay Reed, his love of the outdoors came throught in literally every article he wrote.

You are right about this, and your comments regarding the judge. I originally read on my German Shepherd Dog board that this judge was tough.

I heard today Michael Vick will also be charged in State court.

As an aside America loves dogs, at least 80 percent of us do, and this is the first time I have ever seen the NRA and Peta agree on an issue.

Will Michael Vick ever play football again, no way.

My personal RX for Michael Vick cannot be posted on his board, perhaps the board is becoming a bit to lib. But imagine for a minute if the guy would have burned, buried or hanged one of your dogs. Enough said.

My German Shepherd board does allow us to get a bit more opinionated.

As Tom asked, please a bit more info on your motor. Four stroke or two stroke, carburated or not, or possibly an E-Tec. Let us know.

    Gary,

how can someone be a troll that has almost 600 posts; just curious.

As for trucks, at least those with spark plugs, I have a 2006 Chevy Silverado and absolutely love the truck. I have had one sensor replaced under warranty and all four tires. The tires were replaced at about 23,000 miles, at no cost to me.

For you Silverado owners the tire manufactuer sent GM a bulletin that authprizes replacement, but only if uneven wear is noted or the customer complaints.

I am not sure about the mud, but it will be interesting to see if the Packer Defense can control Adrian Peterson. No one can predict how draft choices will do, but the Vikings really lucked out when they drafted AP.

However, if Bollinger is starting at QB, the Vikings better hope AP has a great game; otherwise it will be a Viking disaster.

Wade, muy son has two yellow labs and my neighbor a black lab, and I could not agree more with your comments. I am a German Shepherd fan and owner, but the kid’s labs are great.

I won’t say much about Springer Spaniels, except that those dogs are probably more suited to the type of hunting the original poster does then a lab.

My point is each of us has dogs for somewhat different reasons, and our decision regarding which breed in based on those reasons.

As for having two dogs, I doubt getting a second lab would be an issue. Two Spring Spaniels might, as might a second German Shepherd on my end.

A while back there was a similar post and I made the statement, simply as a compliment that Chessie’s were mean and tough. The statement was made based on my experience, after meeting several Chessie’s, at numerous Dock Diving contests across the Midwest.

I got blasted, big time, for using the term mean. It was perhaps the wrong word to use, but I meant to imply I admire and respect those Chessie’s.

The bottom line is know your breed, the pluses and minuses, and be willing to except differing opinions.

The answer is obvious and easy, but I won’t be at Apple River so will keep it quite for now. Actually the now deceased player caught two TD’s that day, after catching either one or none the entire year.

You might consider a Jack Russell Terrier; they are great at hunting mice, ground hogs and large dogs.

But never take your Jack Russell in the boat. All those lab and Chessie guys will just laugh at your dog. One guy had to nerve to ask me if I was going to use the dog for catfish bait.

Seriously, I see nothing wrong with someone that wants to state an opinion regarding a specific breed.

From a Packer Fan, I will and have always said I wish we had Adrian Peterson. And the Vikes Defense was pretty impressive today.

However, aside from the Colts and Patriots, I have also noticed the NFC Teams are rolling over the AFC. The NFC Teams from the Central Division, aside from the Bears have literally destroyed the AFC West, including San Diego.

If someone has the NFC versus AFC record for this year please post. I think some of you that think the AFC is better will be suprised.

As an aside, I always figured Detroit would fold. But after today’s game, this Packer Fan is starting to worry a bit.

Hard to disagree with you. I hate the word “if”, but should the Packers make the Super Bowl they would be hugh underdogs. And even that is a big “if”.

Ironically, before the season started us Packer Fans were only hoping for a winning record and a possible playoff experience.

Suffice it to say this season has been fun and their record unexpected.

I had to chuckle a bit at your reply. Frankly, Brett would make a better governor then the guy we have now, unless you enjoy words like higher taxes.

Whoa, a subject best to avoid.

However, banned or not it is really none of our business unless someone sends AM a personal E Mail and he wishes to respond.

If you enjoy the if game we could bring up the Bear Game. The Pack ran up 389 yards in the first half and still lost. How many if’s could us Pack Fans use on that one. Bottom line is with the Denver Win things have evened out.

Sounds like what an old golfing buddy used to say when I beat him. If this, if that, if I would have just hit that ball a little harder, if,if, if.

Actually, if you don’t include the Packers Win against them, five of the seven teams the Pack played have 500 or better records. Specifically, Denver, Philly, the Giants, San Diego and Washington.

Please be a little more specific. For example, where do you live, the size of boat and HP motor you are looking for, and of couse how much are you will to spend.

Is yours what the others refer to as a snap. I also have a Crestliner, and although there are some snaps, most of it just slides into the sides.

    Love the cover.

Rats, I figured the Vikes would lose and am an unbalanced Packer Fan. However, I was hoping for a few Bear posts and a Bear loss.

With the Bears win and the win by the Lions it is not time to turn off the TV, excepting the Vikes and Goofers fans. Us Packer Fans are a bit paranoid, but appreciate Brian G and the Bear win.

Checkout Leerburg Kennels. The guy is mainly a German Shepherd person, but has tons of info on raising and training a dog.

You might also search on Patricia McConnell. She is a great trainer.

Also, Chris Wild, the founder of the Third Way. Her stuff is not cheap, but she has helped me with my German Sheherd, and her advice has been great.

Finally, it is great to hear you are willing to do a bit of research before you get the dog. It is important.

Let me know if you want a Great Dane profile and I will either post or mail to your E Mail address.

I tried to cut and paste the study, which was done in May 2007, on neutering, but for whatever reason it did not work.

However, if you search on Long Term Health Effects of Neutering/Spaying you will get the study. For those of you that take the time to read it, I would appreciate your comments.

I appreciate the prompt respond and never intended to offend the Chessie’s because they are great dogs. If you ever have a Chessie you want to participate in the Dock Diving stuff post it and I will get back to you.

As for Chessie’s being loyal and protective; you bet.

Stick boy, I just noticed you are from Plymouth, MN. Did you happen to attend the Cabela’s National Dock Diving Championships last weekend in Rogers, MN.

If you did the Chessie’s owners I referred to are Pete and Dana Sunridge, and I believe their dog “Jade”, did very well. My son’s lab “Jumpin George” has a tough weekend but did manage to make the EV finals in a playoff.

A bit thin skinned perhaps. My “mean and tough” comment was not meant as a criticism, rather as a compliment. The Chessie’s do have a different personally and I respect their strength. And my comment about Timber, my GSD travelling with us to protect the labs from the Chessie’s was simply a joke.

One of our best friends competes with two Chessie’s and we joke about the Chessie’s, my son’s labs and me GSD all the time. But to imply Chessie’s and labs are about the same is silly. To say more would simply get me blasted from the lab folks.

On an unrelated note and a bit off topic; almost all the dogs that compete are non-neutered males. The same for German Shepherd SCH dogs, police dogs and military dogs. In Europe, to neuter any of these breeds is almost unheard of.

I will do my best to find the neutering study and pass it along.

    Jon,

my son has had the same problem with Lawrence, albeit for different reasons. Very poor customer response.

I posted this hoping he will read and respond.
