    Hi all,
I’m looking to find an extra battery for my Strikemaster 50V. This auger has had less than 100 holes drilled in 2 years, but apparently it’s all garbage. I’m looking to salvage my season with another battery before I buy a new auger next year. Won’t be STRIKEMASTER…..POS.

I saw one at Fleet Farm in Oakdale a while ago.

Bummer. I had that auger. It got me hooked on electrics.

If you don’t mind me asking, how was the battery stored, and was it kept charged up or close it it? Did you open it up, and was it a rusty/corroded mess? I’ve heard these can be rebuilt at Batteries Plus.

That’s to bad, there must have been a reason StrikeMaster only made that 50v for a couple years. Battery technology changes so fast. I think you should give the 40v a try. There really is not another stand out auger company in my mind. My Strikemaster has treated me well for the last 14 years.
On a side note there are places that rebuild batteries. R and D battery and OSI battery are a couple we use in the medical field.
Update just found them on Rapalas web site $179

I always stored the battery indoors when not in use and charged it a few times a summer. I’m disappointed, because I was really happy with it.

I’ve abused my ion batteries for the last 4 years, i let them freeze don’t charge em all summer till first ice you name it they still going strong. Only thing went bad on one was the lights to tell you if it’s charged or not, still works good though
