Pelican lake by St. Michael

    Was thinking about going this weekend? Any news on how the lake is doing?

    I’ve been stinking it up out there. Millions of little crappies, but I have only caught one sunny at 8″ in the last 4 trips. The good news, I don’t think the fish are hurting for oxygen quite as bad with all the runoff into the lake. However, I’d sure like to hear what the DNR has to say about that. I think it’s time to let this lake settle until the trucks are off the lake. Just so much traffic out there. I can’t wait for the late ice bite when only us wheeler guys can get out there.

    looks like it might be a little while till i can get out. how is the lake doing now?

    These are some of the fish from this last ice season form pelican..
