2011 Governors Fishing Opener – Lake Wissota

I got word through the Chippewa Rod & Gun Club that Wissota will be hosting the governors opener next year.

Too bad he doesn’t go out there in August to see how filthy that place is this time of year. It would be nice if he could do something about the runoff creating super algae. Yuk!

Here is an update I got from the club.

Governor Walker will be fishing
Lake Wissota on May 7th, 2011 to
promote fishing in Wisconsin. The
Rod N Gun Club will host the event
with the 1st Wi Muskies club. We
will need 8 to 10 people to help with
lunch. Lunch runs from 11:30am to
1pm. The organization is also looking
for 20 guides to take people out
fishing. If you have a pontoon boat
we are looking for two to take some
handicapped people out fishing. All –
in –all there will about 150 people
from all around the state coming to
fish with the Governor. If you can
