The so called experts are saying its going to be a colder and snowier season than normal. I just hope we get the cold ahead of the snow. It would be nice to have some decent early and good ice conditions this season.
Im with Thumper on this one I would just like to have some good early ice and a good base this season something that I can fish into april lol hay a man can dream can’t he!!!
After looking at the farmers almanac, I’m predicting an angry wife with a slight chance of “make your own dinner when you get home”.
Here is an NOAA link for the 2017 Winter Outlook:

Howdy!!
This is what I got off a website Minnesota Winter forecast
“Minnesota will see a snowfall of 20% above average for most of the state to up to 25% above average in the Minneapolis area. We expect a weak to moderate La Nina and the weak La Nina typically brings the highest snow for the area with a moderate La Nina near to slightly below normal snowfall. Ice will not be that big of a factor for the state so we expect a low risk of an ice storm this winter.

I am in the same boat as Merican Eagle. But with the added and always increasing honey do list.
Between La Nina and what most NOAA forecasts show, seems like we may be in for a long ice season this year, I am ok with that!!!
Anything’s better than last year.
When you can’t drive your pick-up out on Adrians road the first week of January, you know something aint right.
Love the picture on this thread…..didn’t realize General Hawthorne had
a mini tank!
All I am thinking is that if this weather pattern of getting dumped on over and over continues, we’re gonna be tunneling our way out come mid-winter.
36 degrees here currently. Still have the windows open… Bring on the cold!
Does this mean that at the age of 34 I finally need to buy a snow blower?
Me back says yes!
