Scouring google maps and onyx for ice fishing holes . What is this man made structure and what’s the history behind it ? Circled area . What’s the purpose of it ? This area freeze so a guy can ice fish ? Worth a crap ? Looking for some big pike on tip ups Thanks .

I believe that was put in for habitat improvement?Never seen anybody out there on the ice,but who knows?
Be sure to look at the date of your images. That area looks drastically different as the river height changes.
Edit: I’ve tried about 8 different times to include a screenshot of that area with average/low flow with no luck on this website. Next I’m sure I’ll get logged out 17 times in a row and never be allowed to quote another user once logged in
