It was a slow day. We saw a lot of geese but they would not commit to our set up. The other group they had out that morning killed 10 and 7 more that evening so it just goes to show you that you never know… I would like to thank Run N Gun Outfitters! They did a super job coordinating this event and the hunting pits they use are really nice (heaters were included) . We are hoping to get out maybe one more time before the season closes to give it another try. Anybody else intested in joining, please send me a PM. Potential dates are now being considered.

Same here! Hunting was really tuff. And very cold to say the least.

The birds were definatly not cooperating on saturday. But I ended up going with Run & Gun on Sunday and we shot 5 and these birds dumped right on top of us. It was great meeting Trevor and Mike who run a great outfit

Yep, we saw a lot of birds on the very cold Saturday morning. Just none would come in for a closer look. That is hunting. It was very chilly (7 degrees) but the pits R&G Outfitters had us in were toasty warm. Warm enough that even my wife Stacie was comfy.

With the amount of birds showing up down in Rochester along with this last cold blast, top that with the snow that will be hitting today, R&G should have a tremendous finish to the season. So if you are looking to go on that last goose hunt of the year or even your first, give Trevor a call @ 507-358-7755

Here are a few pics from the morning.
