Changed crankcase oil for first time on my Mercury 150 4 stroke. Ran it on cuff to warm up oil before draining, then after adding oil and filter, to check for oil leaks. On both occasions I noticed a slight weeping of water from the cowling indent where the oil drain is located. I googled the issue and found posts on other sites that claim this is normal. Has anyone else noticed this and checked it out with the manufacturer or their dealer? I plan to call my dealer tomorrow but am curious if anyone else has seen this and checked it out. On the upside changing the oil is slick using tubing from the drain nipple 0n the Merc. Sure saved on the oil dry and paper towels compared to previous engines. Removing prop to drain lower unit not as great.
