I heard a rumor that Warrior has put a 275hp motor on the 2090 tiller? Is this true? If it is let the good times roll

According to the guy I talked to at the Mpls boat show, that is true. The 2090 hull is rated up to 300 ponies, with the Warrior remote steer system.

I’m sure they did. A few years ago I saw a 250pro XS on a 2010 Lund pro guide.

It would be fun to pass bass boats with a 300 etec on your warrior.

Good luck with that – with the hull of that big Warrior you will probably need 300 HP to just get the boat on plane – Curious what is the weight of that rig?

Defeats the whole purpose of a tiller for me. I don’t see how nimble that big a boat and motor would be. It would automatically require a kicker.

Justin, maybe you can chime in on what the difference on insurance would be between a 115hp and a 275hp plus a 9hp kicker.

I’m sure guys will buy them, it just wouldn’t be me.

Not me. I love the idea. The open deck space of a tiller with the WOT speed of a wheel boat. Perfect combo.

The 2012 2090 BT Tournament will be rated for a 250 HP.
    I run a 2090 BT 225 Opti top speed 54-57mph.
We estimate the top speed with the 250 HO E-Tec to be in the low 60’S
I also don’t put a kicker on my boats, I troll with my main engine.

    I don’t know about that…I have a 2090 BT with a 175 opti. I can get 49-50mph.

I see it weighs in at 1940#. That’s 140# more than my 1850 wheel boat that has a 150 on the back. I’ll bet the hole shot and WOT speed is amazing for a tiller with a 275hp or 300hp on the back.

Dave said the boat will do 63 mph and troll forward at 1.9 mph. I watched him take off one day and that boat jumps right up on plane.

Got to their web page here

and click on dealers. I’m sure they can set you up with a price. Not to many guys would give you a price over a public forum. Thats what they have dealers for.
