Just curious to see how everyone did today as we were hit by this pretty big warm front!

Took the kids to a numbers lake to chase flags. A little slower than expected, but they had fun.
Foggy as heck and slushy-a week from now when this locks back up travel is going to be awesome!

It has been a great week for fishing but a slow week for catching since the front rolled in on Sunday.

Perfect day to get out. But biting slowed down and need it to get colder to get the slush and water to freeze over. Looking like it may get slightly cooler this next week. No dramatic changes though.

Just got home from a very good night bite in north metro. The extremely dense fog, 1 1/2″ of water on the ice and no creepers made for some interesting hole hopping.

We took advantage. Got grandpa and my son out. He was a rockstar for only being 3. He fell in a hole right away. We got him dried off and back on the ice. He was out there from 10 am till 6 pm and never complained once or wanted to leave. Plus he loved the fish. I think he carried that one crappie around for the better part of 45 minutes.

Much slower here in La Crosse. Marked lots of nice fish and threw the tackle box at them but biters were few. Great weather for fishing but getting very sloppy on the ice. I am done for a while here unfortunately.

Awesome pictures Wade!! Looks like a lot of fun!

Fishing definitely slowed down for me as well. Marked a few fish but nothing committed. Frustrating!

Open water fishing on the river if fantastic right now. This warmer temps opened everything up again so boat travel is very easy. Light winds are fantastic to fish in and the fish are hitting a lot of different presentation. Open water fishing in December I consider the bonus round of boat fishing. It wont last long.

Funny you say that as Sunday was the last real day of catching for me.Tuesday was o.k but you really had to work for them.

Warm weather will just put a delay on us southern Michiganders from getting on the ice.
