Hit the water about 630 sat morning with my dad and cousin joining me in the boat. We started the day off pitching to current seems and the shallow slack water inside the current seam. We got all our fish on hair jigs and plastics. Tied my PB with a post spawn 27.5″ that fell for a firecracker/chart tailed ringworm. Seamed like the more quality fish liked the plastics, as the hair jigs just brought in small fish. Also caught a 18″ pre spawn walleye and a couple 19″ saugers that were also pre spawn. Threw blades some too, but could only get sheepies. We had about 20 sheepies for the day. I sure like when the water is colder and they dont bite. It sure was a great day to be on the water .
