This is top secret information and I wouldn’t tell just anyone but go to Evert’s Resort and talk to the guy behind the counter at the baitshop before you launch. He will have the most current bite information unless the goofy hired help is working. If it is a character with a catfish hat on behind the counter then go to the lock side and fish in about 14 feet of water vertically and you should catch some eater saugers!

First, figure out if you are fishing for big fish or numbers-can be a completely different game. Big fish this time of year can be equated to deer hunting the rut- sitting in a treestand and waiting 2 weeks for one right deer to walk by. Definitely not for everyone.
The numbers game of eater sized fish can range from a vertical jig bite to pulling 3 ways with rapalas.
If launching out of Evert’s, stop in, buy your bait and talk to however is working-that is the best you can do for up to the date as the river is always changing, hence the bite changes.

Not to sound like a broken record, but the best way to get the up to the min information is to stop in and talk to Dean @ Evert’s. If you really want to know where the big girls are, tell him he looks “man pretty” today.
