Trolling Bite on Pepin

Was out from 5p to 10p Saturday and the trolling bite was near dead for us. We caught 3 sub legal walleye and a nice crappie trolling the usual shad rap colors.

Tried everywhere from 4ft to 15ft of water and just couldn’t find em.

Anyone else having better luck, we were on the north end of the lake and that had been pretty good before the water level came up.

I was out Sunday from noon to dark and did very well trolling wind blow shore lines, 8 to 13 ft.

Tried trolling for a while last Friday, but very frustrating with all the debris running down our lines. Pitched the willows and had some success, but nothing like the previous outings. One nice pike, a couple of decent smallies, but the walleyes were running just short and the saugers were even shorter yet.
