What’s everyone’s favorite bait/tactics for spring walleye. Thinking about trying lynxville and Genoa on the Mississippi. Had the opportunity to fish lake of the woods last may with some buddies and had a blast. Got the boat and some gear just lacking the knowledge. The big river can be intimidating to a newbie.
Dragging jigs with Pulsars. Hard to go wrong with white, pink/white or just about any color. Pulling stick baits can be very good to. For me bigger the better. Grab a few bright colors and natural colored lures and see what they like. Sunday they liked a perch pattern. Trip before that was chartreuse.
wading flooded roadbeds or gravel shallows pitching jigs.
