    Hunted the South Western portion of Iowa this weekend. As a group we ended up shooting 22 birds. There seemed many more birds than the past years which is a great sign. We also didn’t lose any criples due to the steller work of my dog, which i was very pleased about. I watched her run down a criple for 250 yards, and just as the bird tried to jump the fence i watched Maddie leap in the air and snatch that rooster. That was the highlight for me this weekend, as well as the 2 doubles I shot.
    Gota love those LABS.

    Has, I predicted SW Iowa would be good this year. That is the area I used to hunt because there were a lot less hunters then the rest of the state. We always did really well and didn’t have to compete with the crowds. Glad to hear you did well.
