Over the course of battery powered ice auger creation I maintained contact w/ Ryobi trying to encourage their development of same.
Paying no attention to the target consumer they modified their earth auger and now promote a device that weighs more than a gas Eskimo Shark!

Thanks. We’ll see if they ever make an ice edition but in the meantime, great customer service. They issued a full refund, and I get to keep the pod for an attempt at some homegrown mods.
I also did find numerous versions of this in full nylon for half the price as this one, but they are all 6’+ tall and designed as pop-up showers/changing rooms. Too tall for the wind…this one is only 54″ and I can’t find any other form factor like it.
