Ulterra and Ranger 619 and quick detach bracket

    I have a Maxum pro 48″ Minnkota and want to buy a 60″ Ulterra w I Pilot.I currently have Lowrance electronics.
    Do I need to install a nka 21 quick release bracket?I want to use the same Ranger cover on the boat…
    and is this Bracket necessary as my current motor is bolted direct to the boat.
    I understand if you can’t raise the motor , this is the only way to get it up if something bad happens.
    I don’t want slop in the motor operation….It would only be used if something bad happens and I am miles out in Mille Lacs.
