    to get my turkey!! Shot this 17.2 pound jake with a 5 inch beard… Shot this Jake at 6.00am on May 23rd,off the roost, didnt have to call or put out a dek.. My older brother had this one pattern, so i owe my brother this turkey, cause if it wasnt for him i would be bird less…..

    Thanks Kooty… This was the first year both my brothers and my brothers wife were able to fill our MN turkey tags….

    Tough spring indeed Way to not give up There were several big bearded jakes killed this spring with a 5″+ beard, myself included. Congrats again

    due to the early early spring we had last year….this next season you will see the oppostite happen I assume. Great bird and well earned late season harvest!

    Well Done!
    I also saw multiple Jakes with 5″ beards due to the early spring last year. Gobblers were few and far between, usually it was Jakes with hens and no gobblers in sight. Next year will see many 2 year olds and hopefully a “normal” spring.
