Looking forward to the coming weekend and was wondering what the catch has been like on the Eau Galle so far this year. Looking to do some dry fly fishing for brownies and have been reading about the Eau Galle in the shogren book, but it is getting slightly out of date now…
Anyone been on it lately?

I fished the Eau Galle this evening. It was quite a nice evening, so i thought i’d give it a try.
The fishing seemed a little slow i thought, compared to the outings i had earlier this spring on the kinni and trimbelle rivers.
I caught 6 trout, the largest being a brown that was a shade under 11 inches. i caught a couple of smaller brookies which were between 5 & 7 inches as well.
Hopefully it was somewhat of an inopportune time to hit the river, otherwise i’ll stick to the far western rivers of pierce county.
