A few pics to get the blood pumping

Here are a few pics I have from last year. A couple coyotes, a wolf track, and an old trappers axe I found in an old beaver dam. The things a guy sees and finds while spending time in the woods…..

That 4th picture looks like an old tobacco axe. I spent many sweaty hours with one of those in my hand cutting my future FIL’s tobacco. Most of them are made from old hand saws

I assumed it was made from and old two man saw. The teeth are small so I don’t really know for sure. I found it a few miles off the road in the middle of some public land. My great grand parents homestead was within a half mile of there. I doubt it would have lasted that long laying in a dried up beaver dam but I often wonder if it wasn’t an ancestor’s of mine. It’s definately old. The rivets are hammered.
