Nice, to bad theres people out there like me wouldn’t spend a dime to travel to keep 1 fish, but I hear what your saying about catching quality fish,i let a lot if fish go but at least like the option to keep a few

Yellow buckshot rattle spoons and giant fatheads on dead sticks. We walked a mile and a hlf out each day. That 10:45 bite is hott!!;)

I would have confirm your theory. Was out Monday with a couple buddies and ended up putting together a pretty good day. We moved around quite a bit. Started the morning on some shoreline structure but only caught a jumbo and northern so we headed to flats. We fished three flats and all of them produced at least a fish. The last flat we fished was the best. Fish were holding tight to down side of break. Ended the day on structure close to the landing and popped another 7 right at dark then we took off and headed for home. Had some snowmobile trouble so that took up some of our time. Blew my dads sled up in the middle of the lake, that sucked. Red Door came and towed it for me. Anyone going I would recommend a wheeler or sled with studs. Not much snow on lake and it was hard getting going with the sleds towing fish Houses. No real big ones but all 15-22 inches. One keeper. Excited to get back out there!

Fishing in general has been off the hook on the Big Pond!! I made it out more times on the open water than I ever have before, only had 1 tough day, but that was December 3rd and the weather wasn’t cooperating..

Made it out on Saturday (12-31-16) on the hard water, fished 28-30 FOW and did about the same as previously posted. Caught a bunch of 15-17″ walleyes, 1 keeper that we threw back, and 1 25″ being a buddies PB.

Now the waiting game. Sitting here at work, watching Appeldoorn’s web cam, seeing the house in the staging area, wishing it was Friday morning so I can get the hard house out and start the mayhem. Can’t wait!!! toast
