Memorial Day Weekend SE MN or NE IA?

    I’m going to be in Austin for the Memorial Day weekend. Saturday is taken with in-law events, but the wife said I was free to fish on Sunday afternoon and/or Monday.

    Anyone want to hit either Clear lake (Iowa) or one of the Southern MN lakes? I don’t think the Miss will be in any shape for me to go out by Sunday.

    I’d be interested in catching some crappies, ‘gills, but anything that swims is probably fair game. I’d also be happy to bring my boat if necessary. Could also go smallie fishing, but I’m guessing they’re starting to spawn.

    I feel bad that I didn’t read this until Friday night. I had a group to take out on the streams Saturday but would have been free the next two days.The Austin area is kinda home for me, so I would have been more than happy to make conections. If you’re in this area again please hollar!

    I drove down to Clear lake in Iowa. Fishing was good, power boats were plenty, and enough sunshine to ‘pink me up’ a bit.

    I usually post something if I’m going to be up there and have time to fish.
