Suzuki DF140 tiller on Competitor 205

    Does anyone have this set-up?
    Any ‘experienced’ reviews for this combo?
    Max Speed?,
    Best cruise speed?
    TIme to plane?,
    Which prop did you determine worked best?
    Does bow level out?

    I have this on a 1850 fish hawk, so similar weight and hull.
    -Motor is bullet proof in my experience. Not the snappiest, but strong steady eddy type.
    -21 pitch got me mid to upper 40s but a lot of bow rise. 19 was low to mid 40s but much more grippy and no bow rise.

    Do not know where your located but I was just at Dan Southside and they had some 2020 205 closed out for $43k. The Suzuki motor is bullet proof and real quite motor, but if you want power and speed upgrade to the 150, the 140 is a supped up 115DF they use the same block.
