The ice is getting better on the river. Still stay away from the channel off of park point. See todays paper? LOL.
Bay has about 5-7″ of ice but less in areas so pick your way out. Boyscout has a little more and 131 has about 8″.
Fishing has been good to great in all spots but up river seems to have a lot more dinks to weed through. The bay is putting out some dandy perch as well as eyes in the 12″ to 28″ range. Best times are early and late of course. Jigging spoons that have flash, glow or rattles seems best. If you have a glow perch spoon try that. Otherwise the Lindy Flyer in rainbow and glow red is doing well. The old Rapala Tingler is also putting some fish on the ice once the sun is out.
