opener

is any one out there getting ready for the opener? is there a area to start that is any better then the other? am planing on coming up from e.c. so any help would be good.

Any area near the Hwy 23 bridge is good on a cold weather spring because the fish are still up near the spawning grounds. If the spring has been warm slide down river and try pulling spinner/crawler harnesses down the channel edge. I’ve also had great luck pulling some larger fish with small three ways and cranks. It’s a great fishery, but it has become so well known recently that it almost looks like a warm April day on Pool 4. Good luck!
