Broken Smallie mount

    Does anyone know if you can fix a mount that is broken. About 10 min ago my 20″ Illinois smallie fell off the wall and the side fin broke right were it hooks on the body. The fin did not break, just where it attaches. I hope there is some way to fix it.

    Any Ideas??

    try super glue & hold it there

    Before you do that take a breather. (Not to say it won’t to work. And not taking a shot at anyone.) I’ve been know to over react and wreck stuff. Talk to somone who does mounts and wait for additional advice out here. I know theres a few guys on this borad that do mounts.

    The last thing you want is to disfigure somthing you cherish even more. (Again… Not to say the super glue won’t be the answer.)

    If you can put the fin in place and there is no real visible cracks or damage, go ahead and glue it carefully. If you have visible cracks or gaps take it to a taxidermist. Sounds like a fairly easy fix and would not take them long to do it, and would not likely cost alot
