Hey everyone. Posting from Colorado. Ice season has officially started here, and boy it was fun. Stayed on the ice for 4 hours and got into 4 rainbows ranging from 17.5 to 19 inches. All came on a VMC fly jig. Used the XT otter single man flipper and boy it worked well. Cant wait to go back for some more action.

Wow, at your age…just ate your first rainbow? eek
Have had them since back in the 70’s. Perhaps one of the most delicate and delicious fresh water fish. Had them many places from South Dakota to Colorado to Wisconsin…not common in Minnesota?? Many different ways prepared, never deep fried. Best is when they’re totally deboned and butterflied broiled with the perfect touch of seasoning. If caught fresh, pan fried lightly breaded cooked whole streamside! yay
