A few weeks ago I offered to lend one of my cams to my father in-law to watch the deer in his yard. They got a couple pictures of this one last week and in the last picture he had dropped his antlers.
So yesterday we went for a hike and my 6 yr old daughter found this nice 4pt side.
I dont know who was more excited.
We decided to share the other side with the squirrels until this deep snow melts.

Congrats to the both of you. It’s great to see the young ones get involved in shed hunting….their youthful eye’s are good to have along to boot!

Im proud to say that it’s her third shed antler. 2 years ago she found a smaller side off of an 8pt in this same area…it was actually under that big pine tree in the right background of the picture. And when she was 3 she picked up a fork in the driveway one day and didnt even know what it was. Not sure how that one got past me
We are going to walk a friends foodplot in a couple of weeks when more snow melts. Should be 2-3 there for sure. Cant wait!

We finally got back out to look for the other side last weekend. Couldnt find it but we did stumble across this one. Under the lucky pine tree again. Might try one more time this week now that all of the snow is gone.

Also got out myself this weekend and found 2 more 4pt sides. The second shed is a buck from last year. I attached a picture of him too. I cant believe that his shed layed in such an obvious spot all year without getting noticed

Its been a slow year for me in my best spots so I have been walking new woods with some success. Hope to find the mother load soon
