non resident licsense

I am planning on a short trip to the lake city area in august but cannot get the SD dnr link for regs to work on my pc, I know I need a non res. licsense but does my 15 yr old son need one also.Any help would be appreciated.

under age 16 do not need a

Children of an adult who has a
Minnesota
nonresident family license may possess their own limit of fish.
However, if the adult has an individual
license, the child’s fish are included
in the adult’s limit. Nonresidents under age 16 may purchase
a nonresident
license and possess their own limit of fish.

It appears your Son will not need a license in SD.

The key is, if you don’t buy your son a license, you can only keep one license worth of fish. Good luck out there!!

Thanks kooty,We cpr as much as possible so limits are not a factor,just having fun and getting on a few good fish is enough and staying legal at the same time.
