Screen protectors

Anyone put screen protectors on their graphs? I fish a tiller boat with 2 12” Helix’s in the dash. Scared one day I’m going to bounce a jig off one of the screens and crack it. If you do use them do you have antiglare ones or clear? Would they even help?

I purchased 2 clear protectors for my Solix grafts, I still need to install. I had a near miss last fall from my fishing partner.

I installed one on my HDS 9 a few years ago,got it from RMP and fits perfect.Survived a few hits from a crankbait,not sure if an impact from a heavy jig would do it in?

Anti glare are terrible. I put three on my ice fishing graphs and it makes them blurry to read depth numbers and any other numbers. Clear on my boat graphs no problem. I replace them when they get scratched up. I have always ordered one when I ordered a new graph.

I use them to protect from sun screen/insect repellant (which are now banded from my boat) They will leave what looks like water spots but are actually pits on a Humminbird screen.

Never took the plastic off my Helix 12.

Are you using the anti-glare?

Steve I have read issues with the anti glare ones so I purchased the clear. I have yet to see how they work on my Solixs. I’m heading to Branson, MO Tue morning.
