How about an easier, more user friendly thread.
What is your favorite drink to sit down and relax with while you watch football, baseball, golf, soccer (gasp) or the election results?
    How about the missus?

AS a non drinker since spin dry in 1981 I will be drinking a Pepsi with crushed ice ( love the rotten ice after it soaks in the pop or water)

    In no particular order…

    Makers Mark on the rocks

    4 Roses on the rocks

    Crown Royal and 7up

    Scheels Oktoberfest

Blue Moon in a frosty mug (summer relaxation drink for sure)

    Brandy or Bourbon Old Fashioned

    Leinenkugels Canoe Paddler

…and I reserve the light beer consumption for “working” time or projects in the garage, all day drinkathons, etc.

i tend to stick strictly to beer and scotch. My favorites are All Day IPA by Founders and Highland Park scotch. if the nights going really well i drink both.

if its a hot summer day ive been known to enjoy some sort of vodka lemonade type concoction

I’ll use something more organic if I’m trying to relax. But I like a good whiskey to turn things up…and by good, I mean rail…

Usually a good bottle of clean scotch, like Laphroaig has some nice tasting stuff!

Just a drink? Sprite and kettle one. Beer, anything but busch.

I couldn’t drink enough booze to endure any of those.

Pepsi and a mountain sunset glassing elk or rams

Beam and 7 and Keystone Light or Grain Belt would be the regular rotation. Schell’s Oktoberfest and assorted bourbons on the rocks when I’m feeling sassy. jester

Bourbon would be number one for me followed closely by coors light or mich golden or anything I can put down easy.

Non alcoholic would normally be Mountain Dew but I’ve stopped drinking soda and have really fallen in love with Kombucha.

I like Summer Shandy or Spotted Cow when available. Otherwise Mich Golden Light.

In the winter, I drink some hot chocolate with Bailey’s Irish cream.

I don’t drink much alcohol or pop so usually ice water or Perrier. If I do have a pop it’s Pepsi.

I like a little bit of everything, but my go-to in the fall is a hard cider. I’m not really a “regular” at any one bar but if I was they still wouldn’t know what to order for me – I tend to get something different every few visits! mrgreen

As far as non-spirited beverages, my favorite will always be root beer. I prefer Barq’s but any brand is good!

Love an old fashion mixed my way!
A half-round orange slice (not just the peel), two sugar cubes and a hefty splash of bitters all muttled in a rocks glass, add a splash of water, ice, a good Bourbon and mix it. Sometimes I add a cherry just for the asthetic. When it’s done, it will be the most beautiful shade of burgundy and taste like the fountain of youth.
