The River is dropping and it looks like I’m going to be on the river this coming weekend if not sooner. I can’t beleive it, May 25th was my last night out. The Red River has been to high ever since then. I’m just glad that the rain has stopped, now to get on the river and find the fish before the big cat tournament the second week of Aug.

Just an update on the river. I haven’t been putting off this I just haven’t been able to fish with the high water. I wanted to go this weekend but the city never cleaned the mud off the ramp so it makes it kindof tough to back a boat into the river with two feet of mud on the ramp. Can you say watch the truck slid into the river, not me. I might try and go out and shovel it, it wouldn’t be the first time. I’ll let you know how the fishing is as soon as I get back onto the water. Should be on next week forsure, watch for what happens.

High water on the Red sure cuts into the short summer…I guess!
