Early and late in the day was best, blades in the morning and corkin in the evening. We caught A LOT of little 8-9 inch Walters which was nice to see. The amount of fish we marked is amazing…
Heading back up on Sunday for 11!

I would say 50/50. Leeches up there are almost non existent. Plan on trying to find some before heading up.

Nice work!! I have been seeing some various sizes lately too, the 8-10″ fish are very good to see, that’s the future!

I’ll be up tomorrow afternoon, looks like the wind is going to cooperate. Good luck on your 11 day run yay

Tried something new for me on Monday that I thought I would share. After pulling blades through a pile of fish several times without a bite, I spot locked over them and dropped a Shiver minnow down, vertically jigged the pod of fish and was able to get 2 of em to bite. A new wrinkle to try when they won’t go during the mid day lull.

Great tip!! I am going to be out on the mud basin area as mush as possible. I may have to try dropping a jigging rap on a pod or two of fish if they aren’t taking the cranks.

    Thanks for the update!

I’m heading up this afternoon. Looking forward to a good weekend where I can motor up to the mud tomorrow morning (from Wahkon). This evening I intend to scout some basins off the rocks. Might even wet a line.
