I live quite close to the Sturgeon Lake launch.(Behind Treasure Island Casino)Those of you who are familiar with this launch know that it is also very close to lock and dam #3.My question is,would it make any sense to launch there and lock through to pool 4?It would save at least 1/2 hour drive time but,having never locked through,I have no idea how much time that could consume.
