I really hate to ask this question this early, but am afraid if I don’t ask now, I’ll forget until it is to late.
Last spring the pump on my livewell froze and cracked. How can I prevent it this year, if I am fishing in weather below freezing?
Right now my thoughts are: don’t use the livewell and as soon as I take the boat out of the water, turn on the pump for a few seconds to flush out the pump.
Any guidance would be appreciated.
