    Does anyone have any info. on resorts near Lake Pepin where a person can rent a spot on a yearly basis to place a 32 ft camper. There are many of these up North on the lakes but can not find any info. for Lake Pepin.

    That is a tough one. Since most of the land along the Mississippi is owned by the federal government and they discourage any development, there aren’t many resorts or campgrounds along the river. I do know of a couple in Wabasha.

    This one is owned by the city and I know they rent to campers on a yearly basis.

    This one is privately owned (I think) and they at least used to rent, but I don’t know anyone in this one at this time:

    Both of these are about 5 miles south of Pepin.

    I don’t know much about these two in Lake City, but they are right on Pepin:

    Thanks for the info. I agree it is a tough one. I have been looking for a while and this is the best info. I have received yet.

    You are welcome. There is one other place that I know of, but I didn’t mention it because it is quite a way (~12 miles south) from Pepin. That one is:

    Pioneer Camp Site

    The up side of this place is that I am pretty sure it has some open spots and is a true campground with a pool, small store, etc. (nice if you have kids).

    The down side is that it is not on the water. There is a public access access the road to the Finger Lakes area below the Alma dam, but there is not main channel access from that area. The closest landing is about 1 1/2 miles up the road. It is ~ 7 miles south of Wabasha.

    I’m sure there are other places north of Lake City or on the Wisc side, but I’m not familiar with them.

    You could try Everts Resort by Red Wing. They’re on the river, but above lake pepin about 6-8 miles, right below lock and dam #3. PN 715-792-2333.
