    How big do you think that this fish is?

    (note the guy is 6’4″ and can easily palm a basketball)

    MAYBE 16″ but I put it more at 14~15″

    I measured his knuckle to mid joint = .625

    then the fish = 3.625

    My knuckle is 2″

    Variables= finger size between his and mine as well as part of the fish’s tail is cut off.

    Just my guess…

    taking into consideration he is 6’4 im assuming his arms have got to be relatively long andhe is holding it out quite a way from his body my guess would be 16 17 inches. just a guess. its a nice fish none the less.

    Im not ashamed of my guestimating at all since mark posted at the same time and got scientific on us lol….. Is this the 21 inch 8lb smallmouth you were refering to in another post?

    Conservatively… I’m going with 21-22 inches and 8 1/2 to 9 pounds.

    My Buddy Dave got this one, in what I think is the same spot as these guys are fishing. I think it is a smallie wintering hole, we have found some fair sized fish here. Sure is a fun fight!

    I’m also guessing 16 inches.

    As for palming a basketball, that’s no big deal. I’m only 6′ tall and can easily palm a mens regulation size basketball.
