Pool 9/10 ice on tuesday 12/26?

    Think there will be any ice, or should I bring the boat?

    The ice was questionable (scary) at Stoddard yesterday by the shoreline where I was at. It might be OK if we get some colder nights, but I’d consider bringing the boat.

    Here’s my report. Fished between the brideges at PDC this am. Slow, caught about 3 dink gills. Hit cableas and headed to Lansing, got on the ice at the village creek ramp. Caught a lot of fish, but only about 10 were keepers. The ice in both spots was 5 or so inches, and in good shape.

    There were people on spring lake near PDC, and on charles city bay near Lansing. (need a boat to get across the first cut) A few wer fishing the open water at cold springs.

    Was nice to walk on water and catch some fish!

    I bet it was nice to get on ice. You dudes have had a very slow start to the ice season again this year. Not that the ice has been real great around the LaCrosse area!
