Ice is going

    Osakis is beginning to crack up. Has cracks forming in several areas. One formed this afternoon that is about 5 -10 feet wide and runs from Battle Point west all the way across into Schultz’s Bay. Miller Bay has been opening up more and more for several days now because of the large amount of inflow from JD2. The rest is looking really bad. The winds we are supposed to get Thursday and Friday, in the 20’s with gusts to 30, should start busting it up. I think we might be ice free by the end of the weekend.

    At the end of last week I claimed in a week we would be ice free. Won’t be long.
