Last weekend was a little cool and/or wet for my girlfriend on the water but I got a little time in between sight seeing. The lake looks to be down a foot or 2 from this time last year and although we kept busy with both large and smallmouth there wasn’t much for size. Most shore line wood I’ve fished in the past was nearly dry, the docks seemed to hold mostly small fish, and I didn’t find the big’uns ganged up along the outside weed line ether.
I’m headed back in a couple weeks to try again anybody know where they are hide’n? Think a couple weeks of cool weather will move the big smallies shallow?
